Buy a Forest Today and sell a city Tomorrow: The 30 years Plan, from Camp to City , the Redemption way

June 30, 2026

 -----Timberland-to-urban-development  phenomenon.
------ Those who want to create tomorrow should start planting trees today ( Odeyemi).
-------"The best way to predict the future is to invent it." (Alan Kay )
(In year 1983, it was called Kilometer 45, Redemption Camp, but now Redemption City)

.....This is not speculation , but this is faith. You enter a bush call forest , no road, no signs, no map, it looks like nothing and tomorrow it transformed into a city without feeding it,  because u waited  in the jungle and they now call you city boy......
Alan Kay who is a computer scientist and Xerox PARC visionary was asked in 1971, when asked how to plan for upcoming computing trends, Kay famously stated, "The best way to predict the future is to invent it."

The "Buy a Forest, Sell a City" concept is exactly how some of the most successful, wealthiest real estate dynasties in modern history were built.
Malaysian and Indonesian explore this phenomenon in 1960s buying seeds from Nigeria, but as the time of this publication Nigeria capitalists buys palm oil (finished product) and advanced palm oil seeds from Malaysia and Indonesia.

Over the years humans will move close to the  forest for urbanization project because of scarcity of rentable apartment in old city settlement and all of a sudden your hitherto farm settlement will transformed into a city.
The Real Strategy: Land Banking
If you want to profitably turn raw land into a valuable asset, the actual strategy is land banking. This involves finding areas primed for urban sprawl and buying the land before development reaches it.
The Process: Investors buy relatively inexpensive acreage or rural land near expanding urban fringes or emerging economic corridors and "wait".

If you buy a forest when you were 30 years old, by time you are 60 years, you already become a city boss in your hitherto forest property.

From Redemption Camp to Redemption city.

--- In year 1983, it was called Kilometer 45 , redemption camp, this was the site of Redeem Church of God, it was 45 kilometer away from Lagos city(EKO, bridge). You will have to drive 30 kilometer from , Ojota, Lagos  via the Lagos- Ibadan  expressway Jungle to get to this unmarked location identified by the kilometer you traveled.

------- Because of the Vision of one man and his team, the forest transformed into a mega redemption city bigger than Vatican city. All surrounding forest transformed into major industrial hubs and towns.

Buy a forest today, sell a city tomorrow" is a classic real estate investment maxim. It captures the concept of land banking—purchasing inexpensive, undeveloped land (the "forest") and holding it until urban expansion and development turn it into a high-value metropolis (the "city").
