STOP READING THAT NOTE AGAIN!

STOP READING THAT NOTE AGAIN!

Imagine reading your notes for three hours, only to forget the answers when the examination begins. Painful, right?

Here's the problem: recognising information isn't the same as remembering it.
Repeated reading can make information feel familiar, but a powerful learning technique called active recall challenges you to remember what you've studied without looking at your notes.

Try this:
Read a topic, close your book, and write down five things you remember.
Then reopen your notes and check your answers.
You can also practise spaced learning by revisiting the topic over several days instead of cramming everything into one night.
These techniques help you practise retrieving information and can improve long-term retention.

The lesson? Don't measure studying by how many pages you've read.
Measure it by how much you can remember and explain!
Close the book. Test your memory. Learn smarter.
