What If Your Business Moved Next Door, Would Your Customers Follow?

What If Your Business Moved Next Door,
Would Your Customers Follow?

Imagine something impossible.
Tonight, while everyone is asleep, your business disappears.
Tomorrow morning, it magically reopens on another street, another town... or even another state.

Would your customers come looking for you?
Or would they simply walk into the nearest competitor's store and move on?

It's an uncomfortable question.
Yet it's one every business owner should ask.

Many businesses believe they have loyal customers.
But what they really have are convenient customers.
  • People who buy because you're close.
  • Because you're available.
  • Because they happened to pass by.
  • Not because they chose you.
True loyalty isn't measured by how often people buy.
It's measured by how far they're willing to go to stay with you.

  • Would they drive an extra twenty minutes?
  • Would they order online instead?
  • Would they recommend you even when you're not the cheapest option?
If the answer is NO, then perhaps your greatest challenge isn't marketing.
It's becoming memorable.

Businesses become unforgettable when they make people feel something.
People forget prices.
They rarely forget how you made them feel.
The smile that greeted them.
The patience you showed.
The problem you solved.
The consistency they could rely on.
Products attract customers.
Experiences keep them.

So before asking,
"How do I get more customers?"

Ask something more powerful.
"If my business moved tomorrow... who would come looking for me?"

Because the businesses that survive any location,
Are the ones people carry in their hearts before they carry their shopping bags.
